SteelHome (China) Steel Price Index (SHCNSI) was 88.77 points (3,840 yuan) on August 12, 2025, up 0.41 point (18 yuan) from the previous trading day. Details are as below:

Construction steel: 20mm HRB400 rebar averaged at 3,333 yuan/t in 28 domestic markets, up 21 yuan/t from previous trading day.

Medium plate: 20mm Q235 medium plate price averaged at 3,592 yuan/t in 28 domestic markets, up 12 yuan/t from previous trading day.

HRC: 5.75mm Q235 HRC average price was 3,527 yuan/t in 28 domestic markets, up 21 yuan/t from previous trading day.

CRC: Average price of 1.0mm SPCC CRC was 3,996 yuan/t in 28 domestic markets, up 21 yuan/t from previous trading day.

Ex-works price of steel billet in Qian’an rose by 20 yuan to 3,120-3,130 yuan/t on August 12. Spot resources were priced 3,190 yuan/t. Billet prices are expected to run strongly in the short term.
